interview

it is come to my mind from time to time, that normally i don't go to a proper interview to get my previous or my current job.

went back to my previous 4 jobs, most of them is not really having a proper interview on me.

but one which i most remember is when i got a call to attend to an interview at 4 PM, while i don't really know the exact location of the venue, and it's 1 PM which i'm not sure whether i can get early leave.

i manage to come on time, well a bit late, but it's 4 PM and i've already in the building, but somehow reluctant to enter the office due to no information shows that it is the office i want to go to.

after met with the security guard, who ask me to wait, and i met this guy, it's a foreigner. a friend who informed me about this job is not telling me that i had to go for interview with a foreigner.

what i'm worried about is my english which was very rusty. been years that i'm not using it.

so, my future boss then asking me about sql server which i answer with high confident.
a few minutes later, he ask me to wait in the room. and then come another foreigner!
gosh, the latest one speak in soft tone. which i hardly able to understand.
luckily my future boss kindly to re-tell the question.

the most remember question is
"how do you picture your self in the next 5 years, if you're accepted here"

so, after a short thinking, i gave an answer "i picturing my self as an IT Manager in here"

the reply kind of shock me. "in indonesia there is no IT Manager" then he added "but i get what your point is"

there.
a few days later i got the acceptance call.

x-rays

this morning while coming to client's building entrance, where we should go through an x-rays scanner, i found out the machine is not operating. so the security check everybody bags manually using that small-black-thing-that-can-bleep if detecting a metal. it just couple of months after this building is occupied. and the system already down. but after lunch. i spotted the machine is working again. other thing that not working anymore is one of the urinoir, an one booth of toilet box. and it just one month. did the contractor buy a cheap one? .. huh!

restaurant

we have this performance review but held in informal way discussed while having lunch. so we go to nearest restaurant, and we arrive sometimes around 11.15. alas, the sign at the door still shows "closed"  what.. ?.. , so when it was confirmed to the staff who happened to be at the front door, it is confirmed already open. since there is another sign that saying the restaurant open schedule is 11.00 AM. when we enter the restaurant, the staff still mopping the floor. since all tables are still empty, we pick the corner one. we order the food, as listed on the menu. a few moment later, the waitress return to our table, and says the main course we ordered still not available. whaatt.. .. ?.. it's their main course, the favourite one, and it's not ready.

here, in client office

i lost my drinking glass :( , somebody took it :(, i have several wild guest, but i'm not going to point finger there are no ojek payung in here, menara mulia . so when the rain came, there are two choices for me to get home, get wet into the parking lot, or wait 'till the rain stopped. the second choice will result, me getting blabber by ran .
