 so the slack app now added with a birthday bot, what the hell. now when somebody has a birthday, the bot gives greetings and shows his/her age, whaaa ?!?!? and then guest what,  the first message from the bot, got responded from the one and only the boss.

we have this performance review but held in informal way discussed while having lunch. so we go to nearest restaurant, and we arrive sometimes around 11.15. alas, the sign at the door still shows "closed"  what.. ?.. , so when it was confirmed to the staff who happened to be at the front door, it is confirmed already open. since there is another sign that saying the restaurant open schedule is 11.00 AM. when we enter the restaurant, the staff still mopping the floor. since all tables are still empty, we pick the corner one. we order the food, as listed on the menu. a few moment later, the waitress return to our table, and says the main course we ordered still not available. whaatt.. .. ?.. it's their main course, the favourite one, and it's not ready.

the management invites the client for dinner. the arrangement will be 7 people from client will attend. at d-day on last minute, the client informed that they cannot attend, and as a good will gesture, they will be represented by 2 people, plus 1 additional 'unknown' to the management. while the food ordered was for 15 people. happy April fool, then.

on a random day, encounter with a colleague's post on twitter. i know immediately that he is a colleagues, since he use his real full name on twitter. he says something to laptop seller, that the laptop he bought is in excellence condition , although it is a second hand. than he posted image of two laptops, and mention the other one is office laptop. wait, our office gives (lend) laptop? why i don't know about this? maybe it come with the deal when he were hired earlier. 

 this year february is 29 days. but somehow, on 27-feb, our finance informing that salary has been distributed. what the hell happened?! seem the large invoice has been paid, and the boss think by fast forward the salary will make some of his employee happy. well it cause some unbalance . because some people will experience longer 'month' on march, since the payment on march will be the default date, which is end of the month. and march is 31 days long month, plus 2 days early from february, so next payment will occur after duration 33 days.

 then your big boss will join random chatting on slack. which he never does.

since the end of february i have been working from home, because the covid-19 plague hit the world including in Jakarta. Initially, the laptop is placed on the table as usual. but because i must always stand-by because it must be responsive every time i got contacted from colleague, therefore it is more sitting in front of the computer than the as usually i do in the office or at the client's office. in the end it causing sore. unfortunately, I have  visual impairment so it is rather difficult to sit normally, because the screen is less readable. later i add a monitor which it's resolution is rather low, so the fonts aren't too small. but sore still happened. and then the trend of laptop's holder hit internet. well, in thi economy, i don't think i will follow the trend. finally a bright idea come across my mind, I use a binder. to hold the laptop. more or less it has the same functionality, isnt' it? add binder Well, at least it is somehow gives a bit ergonomic ...

it is come to my mind from time to time, that normally i don't go to a proper interview to get my previous or my current job. went back to my previous 4 jobs, most of them is not really having a proper interview on me. but one which i most remember is when i got a call to attend to an interview at 4 PM, while i don't really know the exact location of the venue, and it's 1 PM which i'm not sure whether i can get early leave. i manage to come on time, well a bit late, but it's 4 PM and i've already in the building, but somehow reluctant to enter the office due to no information shows that it is the office i want to go to. after met with the security guard, who ask me to wait, and i met this guy, it's a foreigner. a friend who informed me about this job is not telling me that i had to go for interview with a foreigner. what i'm worried about is my english which was very rusty. been years that i'm not using it. so, my future boss then asking ...

things are all in crisis. it happened after covid-19 pandemic break. it damage everything too other than human life. the covid-19 pandemic causing people must stay at home, thus the economy slowing. some people managed the opportunity to work from home, but alas some company cannot afford it. and it end up with layoff. so is this office. luckily the management not going to fire anyone in the next 5 or 6 months, but they must cut the salary off to 60% let see how long this things will be going on. hopefully things can come back as normal soon.

when i decide to bring a mug from home, i choose the less attractive one, so nobody would bother to use it. and recently i found that my mug is regularly used by one of the colleague. maybe it is better to write my name on the mug

so there's this project which is kebakaran and need some fire extinguisher. one of them is coming via account manager, is to invite the client project manager to have lunch. the thing is the project manager is too quiet, and the account manager seem lost of things to be basa-basi-in. in the end it all feel awkward, i try to jump in to some random topics, while since nobody tek-tok-an with me, then it all goes nowhere.

so, there's a messed up on our report to client, hence they angry. while we still cannot provide the report that they want, they summoned us to come to their office. one of the guy stressed so much, so causing gastric pain, the other one is having feverish from yesterday which seem still not fully recovered, and one guy suddenly having an eye problem since morning. and client won't listen to any excuse "because we are all sick, so please spare us"

have you ever work in starbucks ? quite often? how does it feel? so, just this afternoon i work in starbucks , right after meeting wrapped around lunch time. the project manager was not eager back to the office, so there we were, choosing one corner of the sofa in starbucks which located in the same building as our client. since the sofa is equipped with electric socket, no worries of running of battery while working. and starbucks provide a free wifi too, since the first time opening the laptop, i felt off. the crowd talking and laughing, the sound system playing music. it's just noisy enough to distract your mind away from your task. and in Starbucks you need  to purchase one of the beverages. which is not cheap. and the wifi was intermittently disconnected. one of the positive point is, since we all in one team; it's easy to discussed the work, and understand each other. if you are a regular toilet visitor, it is kind worried to left your devices laying aro...

the last time i resigned, it probably happened more than 15 years ago. despite i've changing company due to previous layoff. so last month was my first resignation since years. i try to make it simple, since i know what kind of situation that my ex-colleague has been through when they resigned. alas it makes me stressed. so much pressure, makes me not well preparing the farewell thingy. just shake hand to most of the colleague, and miss some of them due to not in the office , and it's friday.

the first time i went out of town - out of country - for business trip was  about 14 years ago. in 2005. but on this business trip, this is my first time went to location in java. previously i went to singapore, sumatra, kalimantan. having 2 hours buffer before boarding, make me casually strolling the airport into the boarding room entrance. when it is about less than 1 hour to go, the companion that i suppose to flight together hasn't show up yet. damn, i think i will face the client alone. luckily he arrived just 15 minutes before boarding time. and, then the boarding time got delayed for 15 minutes too. and now the departure time will around 1 pm. it's gonna missed the lunch time. arrived at the other airport about 2 PM, waiting for the baggage, so about 2.30 PM finally outside, while starving. the driver who pickup us, saying the destination should be reach in 1 hours if there's no issue, but since we already hungry, we stuff our stomach with roti o (or ro...

the air con is not cool, it's nearly a heater. it's become sumuk .

so, i'm reviving this old blog since it's my almost three years back on working on a company again. as i've been terminated , or in HR term: redundant, been trying a few business which still not showing things . my first year in this company is being placed in the client office, sitting there, working, being yelled, facing their anomaly, etc. and now in my second year, back to office, and facing some other thingy  too. ranging from my health issue, to some commerade parted, resigned, and back and forth visiting client office. and last but annoyingly; i have to face some sok tau team-mates (i hate to acknowledge that he is my mate), and tend to set other as his escape goat. pret!

my last day in this office is ticking. one thing that i will miss is chicken porridge behind the office building for breakfast. it is one of the fine taste of chicken porridge ever. and the guy who sell it has photographic memory, so he know what options should be served for me without I have to tell him.

just met a guy who is no longer works in here. once, he were boasted that wherever he work, he will kept his fashion style; which is wear a snickers, keds shoes, instead of formal leather shoes. well, indeed he kept his words, i check that he still wear those informal shoes :D

so i need to go for number two. when i entered one of the toilet booth it's messy, so i try to flush it to make it cleaner. but suddenly the water jet hose start to release water. hmmm strange. so i decided to go to another boot next to it. when i start to grab the tissue, suddenly i heard the water splash in to something, it's sound massive. then i remember the water jet hose in the previous booth. so i open the door to see what happened. holy shit, the water sprung out of the hose and hit the toilet wall. it's about 1 meter high, and heavy swift. it blocked my way out of the toilet. shit. first, I'm thinking to call security. second thought i just try to duck the water spray fast. so i did, i ran lowly. alas i lost my ground and fell hardly. i was so embarrassed, and try to figure out whether anyone see me fell. with ache on my butt, hip, and arm I decided to get out of toilet and informed security on the leakage. i didn't tell them I fell, just rep...
